Its been quite a while since my last post.. I guess its just that I haven't happened across anything worthy of blogging about. Well I'm back, and for good reason. One of my favorite artists of all time has a new album coming out in February, and one of my good buddies has already done a dance re-edit of the leaked title track. I'm speaking of none other than Sade. Needless to say her forthcoming album is highly anticipated.. and its with great pleasure that I present this Captain Crook re-edit for the world to hear. Enjoy!

ReplyDeleteYeah, I think your soldier of love dance mix sucks. Your BPM is way too fast and therefore misses the all of the emotional groove connection needed to be a hit record. The problem with guys like you is you too wrapped up in your gimmicks and gear. You miss the groove completely. Stewart Mathewman the producer of this cut put it right where it needs to be. All you gotta do is follow his lead and remix it, not rethink it. Mix this from your heart man, not your ego. If you really want to know how to fill up the dance floor on a soulful, down low cut like this, rip a page out of Dre's book and keep their MF heads ringin... slow it down and groove em from the gut man....Start at 2:29 and work your way out from there.
